Researchers discover biological evidence of fibromyalgia

There are more and more people being diagnosed with fibromyalgia in North Carolina every year, but there are still some doctors who consider fibromyalgia to be a psychosomatic condition. This means that many doctors believe individuals with fibromyalgia are not actually in pain, but that they merely think they are in pain. After some recent research was published on the condition, however, many doctors will likely be changing their minds on this pain condition.

Disability benefits may be crucial for people with paralysis

There are many people with partial or full paralysis in Atlanta who are able to work, make a living and are in no need of disability benefits. At the same time, however, there are others whose paralysis interferes with their ability to keep a job and need benefits to help pay medical bills and living expenses. For some people, there spinal cord injuries are so severe that they have no movement below their neck and need around-the-clock assistance. For them, these benefits are crucial.

43,299 veterans diagnosed with brain injuries over 9 years

As many people in Atlanta follow the lawsuits coming out of the NFL, it is clear to them that concussions can cause serious problems later in life. While the effects of those traumatic brain injuries are not always immediately apparent, they nonetheless can wreak havoc later in a player's life. Unfortunately, many of our veterans are experiencing similar head trauma as they serve overseas and nearly 43,300 veterans were diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries between 2003 and 2012.

Imagine being euphoric, something much more than just being in a good mood. Imagine being like that for a whole week. It doesn't sound too bad, but also take into account that during that week you would get very little sleep, you would have trouble focusing or getting anything done, and you may engage in dangerous or risky behavior. Now, imagine going from that high to severe depression that makes it difficult to focus and make decisions.
