People receiving SSDI could also receive Medicare

When people are injured or become ill in Georgia they usually work through quite a few issues. There is the physical aspect, as injuries and illnesses affect people's ability to complete certain daily tasks, their ability to work and other issues. People also must receive the appropriate medical care in order to heal from the injuries or illnesses. This could include surgeries, rehabilitation, medication and other medical care. The other aspect people deal with is the financial cost of the injuries and illnesses.

Medical care costs quite a bit of money and can be very costly even if people have medical insurance. People also may not be able to work, which means that they will not be able to earn income and may lose money as a result. If the injury or illness is severe, people may not be able to work for a long period of time and may incur significant medical bills as they may require a significant amount of medical treatment.

People with severe injuries and illnesses may be able to receive SSDI benefits, which can help compensate people for the income they may lose, but this does not necessarily pay for the medical bills. However, people who qualify for SSDI benefits are also automatically enrolled in Medicare, which can pay for medical bills. People have options for their coverage, but hospital insurance is covered for the person at no cost to them and therefore medical bills incurred at hospitals will be covered.

Injuries or illness can cause both physical and financial problems. People may be able to receive SSDI benefits to at least help with the financial problems, including providing Medicare for the medical expenses.
